Strength

Strength

When I was much younger I used to read a lot of novels. Being a dreamy imaginative person, I used to travel into those books to assume the role of the character.

The toughest characters to impersonate were the ones that went through really tough times and believe or not but I’d find myself crying when the main character is in pain.

I grew and realized that most culturally inclined societies tend to prey on emotionally rich people and so I mastered the art of putting my emotions in check.

Many times I hear people say, “Aishah, you are so strong” or say something like “I don’t know how you do it but I would have broken down by now”. My response is usually a smile because I realize they don’t understand the science behind smiling when all you want to do is drop down and just cry.

“Hold on for just a moment longer

The morning is just a moment away

Your strength and resilience is an inspiration to many.

So this post is to celebrate every amazing person out there who constantly lights up the room with their smile and light despite the chaos in their lives

A shout out to every woman who has had it tough and still held their heads high even when holding their heads up felt harder than climbing Mount Everest

Shout out to all those who are constantly in pain yet they smile just hoping someone else would stay hopeful because they showed up

Shout out to all mothers out there who constantly have to sacrifice so much just to ensure their loved ones are happy even though they are literally broken and just staying together because of the love they have for their family

Shout to everyone holding still and pushing through the storm, whatever it might be, you will be fine, eventually…

Hold on for just a moment longer

The morning is just a moment away

Your strength and resilience is an inspiration to many

Your silent tears and sorrows are known to the Ever Living, The All Knowing

Rest your head now and let the tears flow for strength isn’t only in holding back the tears,

Strength is also in crying when you need to without caring about what the naysayers have to say.

In the end, every tear, pain and heartache would be worth it.
